Lyor Shternberg

Lyor Shternberg was born in 1967 in Petach- Tikva, Israel, and now lives in Jerusalem.
Shternberg has published five poetry collections. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Hebrew University Dolitzky prize, the Prime Minister’s Prize
for Hebrew Writers, Natan Yonatan prize for Hebrew Poetry, and the Metula poetry festival prize. Shternberg is also a prolific translator of poetry, specialising in Irish and English Poetry. He has published selections of Patrick Kavanagh and Eavan Boland’s poems, and his work includes a manuscript of Seamus Heaney’s selected poems and essays.
